Welcome to PNN!

I love shoes. LURRRVE shoes. In fact, on the shoe rack at home, tt's a pair of my husband's sneakers and then his sandals then everything after that are my sneakers, flats, flip flops, heels, boots (ankle and knee, black and brown). It doesn't matter whether the shoes are weather appropriate, they're there ALL the time. JUST in case. Of course, there's also a box full of shoes that I've collected through my years that I just need to keep. Cowboy boots, embroidered flats, mary janes with big green bows, Havaianas FROM Brazil, rubber rain boots ... on and on.

So, I just got another pair today. White snakeskin, open toe, slim solid 4 inch heels ... last pair at smartbargains.com. I don't mention brands or designers. I don't believe in them. Well, that's not entirely accurate. Who would NOT love a pair of vintage Chanel flats or perhaps completely versatile French Soles? I am a BIG fan of low cost HIGH practicality when it comes to shopping for anything fashion. It's all about the hunt - there's no interest when all one does is go into Bloomies and snatch the cutest boots on the rack. Seriously, ANYONE can do that. But to find the perfect pair of shoes for the perfect price ... even if you can't use them immediately (like my snakeskin 4 inchers), it's a TREASURE FOUND! Slurp ... yummy.

I'll come out with my hunting grounds right now. I love to share. One, Loehmann's, not quite perfect with the shoes but their website, smartbargains.com, makes up for the lack in their stores. Two, sales racks at Macy's. I scored grey patent leather heels for under $30 along with a purple satin, thick strapped shoe with black suede covered heels. Trust me on the shoes. I AM a connoisseur. Now, my two suggestions might not be 'exotic' but reliable they are. Also, there's only so much vintage around. Besides, with shoes ... and stinky feet, I don't think age matches well with shoes.

That's it for now. Perhaps I will post pics in the future of my shoe collection. It's really my one vanity. Be wild!
